World Cup 'to honour Mandela'
President Jacob Zuma, delivering his State of the Nation address in Cape Town, called on South Africans to make the 2010 Fifa World Cup a success in honour of Nelson Mandela.
UN declares 18 July Mandela Day
The United Nations has declared 18 July "Nelson Mandela International Day", in recognition of the former South African president's contribution to global peace and freedom.
